Can You Help?
Here are areas where we have immediate need for help:
Mesa House Needs Volunteers – Two different opportunities for service:
Mesa House is a temporary home for recently paroled men. Director Steve Handen needs a few people to serve as mentors, providing a circle of concern, support and accountability, for the men living at Mesa House. Support does not mean money or transportation. It means having a cup of coffee once a week to give encouragement and offer accountability. If you’re interested, please call Steve at 630-8078.
Every Friday evening, members and friends prepare and deliver a meal for the 12 to 15 men at Mesa House, located just off West Uintah. Steve Handen is Director of this ministry, a long-time friend of our church and advocate for the hungry and homeless in Colorado Springs. Your family and/or friends simply deliver a meal of your choice. For more information, contact Peg Jergensen at 527-6733.
Elevate and B Street Pantries – Food Stock & Volunteer Help
The two Food Pantries we support continue to provide both food and special services to help the needy families in and surrounding the B Street and Elevate (8th Street neighborhoods). Your continued help and support is needed and appreciated.
Food Collection: Please consider bringing hamburger helper, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter and cereal on Sundays and placing them in the food baskets outside Otto Hall or in the Fireside Room. (No open or partially used items please).
Volunteer Help: Broadmoor Community Church needs volunteers to staff the food pantry at 2027 B Street or Elevate at 923 Arcturus. Contact the Church Office at 473-1807 if you can help.

Cooks and servers are needed for dinners provided every other month for members of the community in need at Sacred Heart Church, 2021 W. Pikes Peak Avenue in Old Colorado City. Contact the Church Office at 473-1807 if you can help or have questions.
Lake Avenue Clean-Up
Members of the church meet every Saturday morning (weather permitting, of course) at 9:00 am in the church parking lot to collect trash along Lake Avenue. Contact Mary Kettle at 540-2868 or just show up!
Church Safety Team
Our Safety Team is visible every Sunday in the parking lots and buildings. The friendly ambassadors who greet you outside on the way into church are part of the team. They also patrol the buildings during services. The Safety Team is one of our best ministries, and new members are always needed. Won’t you consider joining? For more information, contact Ken Nall at 576-0125 or Mary McInnis at email@example.com. Next time you see a member wearing a badge and greeting you in the parking lot, please offer your thanks for serving in this ministry!
